Slowly, the gaps are being filled. Brazilian rock singles released on WEA in the 80s are being put out on CD compilations like this Geração Anos 80 – Singles Vol.1. Some of tracks are tired hits, like Lulu Santos’ Tesouros da Juventude and Areias Escaldantes and Titãs Sonífera Ilha and Toda Cor. The good part are the rare tracks that had never been digitized before, like Noite do Prazer and Cheque Sem Fundo (classic Brylho songs), Sou Boy and Kid Vinil (hilarious Magazine tracks), as well as the technopop Professor Digital and Cidade Industrial (Agentss).

Wop Bop, a legendary rock label from São Paulo, also thickens the wave of re-releases with 80s pearls like the psychedelic Violeta De Outono (by Violeta de Outono) and the experimental rock-samba Amor Louco (by the equally legendary band Fellini). The pack also features industrial rock band Vzyadoq Moe, with their only album, O Ápice, and the crossover forerunner Mae East (former Gang 90 member) with the world music pearl Tabapora.
