The awaited solo album by the eternal Mutante Arnaldo Baptista has never been so close to hitting the stores. Baptista is going through an excellent phase and has been writing new songs. Keeping an eye on his international acceptance, labels like Virgin and Universal Music have proposed deals. In addition, Sean Lennon has invited Baptista to tour Japan with him. Meanwhile, though, all he thinks about is the gig at the Abril Pro Rock festival, in Recife. Arnaldo will participate in Lobão's set and should probably include his own standards and a few new songs. "A lot of cool people have played that festival, even a Scottish band named vomit", he said, referring to the band Bloco Vomit, who presented their punk-maracatu at the fest in 2000.
