Bebel Gilberto is doing great in France: her second solo album, Tanto Tempo 
, released in 2000, is about to be awarded a golden record in the country for having sold 100,000 copies. The singer has just finished promoting the album in Paris (where she recorded a TV special) and was appointed “muse” by French newspapers. She will tour Japan next and has scheduled a Brazilian tour for October. Bebel has also been doing well on European dance floors: clubs are already playing house mixes of the songs Sem Contenção, Tanto Tempo and Close Your Eyes.
