"I improvised that song when we were at Hermínio's house. We were practicing and stopped briefly for a quick meal. Clementina was by the door, by the table where the meal was being served, and she was handing out the plates. But there was no plate for me, and I just went 'Clementina, where is mine?Where is mine? Where is mine?', because I had no plate. Then, the verse was transformed into 'Clementina, where are you'? (Clementina, cadê você?), everybody liked it and it remained as her trademark."
