Due to hit the stores in November, the album Do Lundu ao Axé was conceived by musicians Edil Pacheco and Paulinho Boca de Cantor. A booklet that tells the story of musical rhythms originated on the land of Dorival Caymmi and João Gilberto will accompany the 24 tracks split along two discs. "We want to state that Bahia has always been ahead of the big musical movements in this century", says Boca de Cantor. Gilberto Gil (Swing do Campo Grande), Carlinhos Brown (Bim Bom), Margareth Menezes (Soy Loco Por Ti, América), Virgínia Rodrigues (É D’Oxum), Gerônimo (Maluco Beleza) and Nelson Rufino (O Ouro e a Madeira) are some of the names in the pack.
