Gil makes tribute-CD to Bob Marley

After making an album with Milton Nascimento, Gilberto Gil goes back to his solo projects - the most important should start coming to life in November, when he'll initiate the recording sessions of a CD with Bob Marley songs only. "I've already contacted Rita Marley (Bob's widow) and she agreed to participate", says Gil, who is also working on the bill of the eighth edition of the Percpan (Panorama Percussivo Mundial) festival, which, in 2001, will happen in September (it's always been in April) in Salvador. Gil's next release, though, is a live album with songs of the successful disc As Canções de "Eu, Tu Eles", 300 thousand copies sold, so far, due to the hit track Esperando na Janela.
