Ivan Lins releases his 26th album, titled Jobiniano, in August. Tom Jobim’s influence on the CD (produced by Roberto Menescal) is felt in the versions of Inútil Paisagem, Dindi (both by Jobim/Aloysio de Oliveira) and Vivo Sonhando. Another highlight of the album is the Grammy awarded (in Sting’s version) Soberana Rosa, by Ivan, Vitor Martins and Chico César. Among the unreleased songs, there are partnerships of Ivan with Martinho da Vila (on the title track), Abel Silva (Acaso) and Celso Viáfora (Rio de Maio). The album will be released simultaneously in Brazil (through Abril Music) and abroad; Ivan will sing the English version of Soberana Rosa (She Walks this Earth) in the international version.
