Ivan Lins is back in Rio de Janeiro with his show A Cor do Pôr-do-Sol. Before the premiére, the singer and songwriter was the subject of two unexpected facts. First, he has indirectly become a Grammy nominee in two categories: Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, with Sting's review of She Walks This Earth (which is a version of Soberana Rosa) and Best Pop Instrumental Performance with the late saxophonist Grover Washington Jr's interpretation of Camaleão. Both songs were taken from the tribute-album A Love Affair - The Music of Ivan Lins. The second fact is Sting's invitation - the English singer is in Rio to play the Rock In Rio 3 festival - to meet him in person. The former leader of The Police wanted Ivan to join him at the Mangueira Samba School headquarters, but the Brazilian declined the invitation. The musicians had dinner together in Ipanema, instead.
