He admits that unplugged projects smell like "career in a downward spiral", but it seems that he won’t resist for long, either. Jorge Benjor might be recording an MTV Unplugged special in September, or, at least, these are the plans at Universal Music. According to the label, there is a "verbal deal" going on with the Brazilian branch of the Music Television.
In recent interviews, Benjor had stated that he is not keen on the 100% unplugged format, and that he would only agree on recording one if it was only half-unplugged, which could represent the addition of an orchestra. If it ends up coming out, this is going to be the singer’s first album on Universal, to which he’s signed up two months ago.
