My computer sounds like an old radio
Fast internet connections and top line computers are useless if the speakers aren't good enough

It’s no use having fast internet connections and top line computers if the speakers aren’t good enough. Two things may prevent you from listening to music at AllBrazilian in full quality potential – the connection between your computer and the internet and/or the reproduction and signal amplification that comes from the sound card.
Both factors – connection and audio – can be improved. A good connection avoids bumps and interruptions, but let’s skip it for a while and talk specifically about the signal amplification that your computer sends to the speakers.
The audio outlet of your sound card is located on the back of your computer. The speakers are usually fed by a plug connected to the speakers’ outlet. If your speakers sound like an old radio, it is useless to have the best connection in this world – your audio will never be great. Likewise, it is useless to own the fastest computer and the most advanced sound card, if everything is going to be delivered into toy speakers.
In that case, we suggest that you at least do some research before buying a pair of speakers with built-in amplifiers. Some speakers have a built-in amplifier and volume, bass and treble controls. These speakers must be turned on electricity so as to feed the amplifier. If you find one of those, ask for a demonstration. If the sound is not good enough for you, don’t buy it - keep looking, because there are some reasonable options and others that are not so great. Here at AllBrazilianMusic we use rather large speakers. We can’t throw a party with just them, but by controlling bass and treble, they aren’t half-bad.
An even better option is to connect the sound card to your stereo, through the stereo’s auxiliary outlet. The quality will then be superior. If your stereo is, say, in your living room and the PC in a different room, maybe you should consider the possibility of using a smaller and maybe older stereo that could be hanging around the basement. It is worth it – if your internet connection is good, you will be able to enjoy rich audio information and have a lot more pleasure to surf the net and listen to everything that you want.
