This month should bring joy to Brazilian rap followers, with at least two important releases scheduled for the next weeks. After gathering fans with the group Posse Mente Zulu, whose CD Revolusom Parte 1 was produced by 4P Discos, rapper Rappin' Hood (check out the track Desconforto hear 30s, on Zélia Duncan's latest album, Sortimento) puts out his solo debut, Sujeito Homem. The greatest surprise is the presence of samba artist Leci Brandão on the samba version of the rap Sou Negrão (from Revolusom...). Embolada artists Caju & Castanha plus Xis, DJ KL Jay (of Racionais MCs) and Black Alien (ex-Planet Hemp) also appear on the disc. Talking about Racinais, the new double-CD KL Jay na Batida Vol.3 (divided into Equi - CD 1 - and Líbrio - CD 2) features special guest appearances by big names in contemporary Brazilian rap, such as MV Bill (Só Mais Um Maluco), SNJ (Na Rima), Xis (Tudo Por Você Também) and Mano Brown (of Racionais, on O Tempo é Rei). Printed on 4P - the label created by Xis and KL Jay, distributed on Trama - the DJ's third solo disc is a good pick while the long-awaited Racionais follow-up to Sobrevivendo no Inferno hear 30s won't come out.
