Rebeca Matta performs during carnival

A techno alternative to the music of Bahia, singer/songwriter Rebeca Matta is going to sing up on a trio elétrico in Salvador for the first time, this year. The news might come as a surprise to Rebeca's fans, who are used to her sophisticated arrangements and avant-garde sound, but she swears not to have given in to axé music. On the opposite, she is making a point about preserving her style. "I'm very glad to be participating with music that is not typical of carnival but is also made for dancing", she says. She will make a guest appearance during Lucas Santtana's set. "I can hardly wait to be up on the trio. The public follows the artist, it is fascinating".
