Regata releases new Black Rio album

Songwriter Bernardo Vilhena is now dedicating full time to his new label, Regata, launched by the end of 2000 with a CD by the vocal girl-group Classe. Three black music releases are underway for the first semester: one by the legendary Banda Black Rio and the solo discs by Seu Jorge (former Farofa Carioca) and Paula Lima, vocalist for the soul/funk group Funk Como Le Gusta. According to Vilhena, Regata will finish 2001 with 12 artists in their cast.
