Rio hosts international music fair

A combination of fair, congress and international festival, the MipBras - International Event for the Music, Media and Entretainment Market - happens from October 18th to 20th in Rio de Janeiro. Devised as a business to business fair, the event organized by the German company MusicDelight and by the Messe Frankfurt do Brasil intends to serve as a communication platform between the music and entertainment industries of Brazil and the rest of the world.
Promoting debates and workshops on the market structures and its problems, the MipBras promises to offer an overview of the music scene, media and entertainment in Brazil. Bearing resemblance to the traditonal Midem, which happens yearly in France, the fair is going to include stands for record companies, independent labels, audio and video studios and music editors.
