Rock In Rio: Beck on Caetano Veloso’s trail

In an interview this morning, the indie darling Beck, who plays the World Stage tonight, made a request: "If you can hear me, Caetano Veloso, please give me a call." Beck claims to have been after the tropicalist for about a month, willing to invite him to make a guest appearance in his show. The writer of a song named Tropicalia is a big Tom Zé, Mutantes, Tom Jobim, Jorge Ben and Gal Costa fan. He has made an appearance at a Caetano concert in Los Angeles.
