ROCK CITY, 22h50 — Gilberto Gil’s band took the stage at 9:10 featuring 3 guitarists. Besides Gil, guitarists Celso Fonseca and Sergio Tiavasoli guaranteed a rock-driven concert. Gil appropriately dedicated the show to the memory of early Brazilian rocker Raul Seixas. Realce, Tempo Rei and Punk da Periferia were the first songs performed by the group. After Rock do Segurança and Back in Bahia, Gil entered the reggae set with songs like A Novidade and Bob Marley’s Is This Love. Other hits followed: Expresso 2222, Asa Branca and the most recent, Esperando na Janela, from the soundtrack of the movie Me, You, Them. He finished the show at 10:05 with Palco and Toda Menina Baiana.
