ROCK CITY, 8:15 p.m. – In accordance to the transgression spirit of rock and roll, Tom Zé’s presence at Rock In Rio is more than appropriate. The restless musician and his band played a historic show for the spectators that crammed Brazil Tent after Pavilhão 9’s set at the World Stage. Overusing electronic noise and Brazilian beats, Tom Zé mentioned rocker Raul Seixas a number of times. It was basically the same set as that of the Com Defeito de Fabricação tour, but the ever lively songwriter included his latest hit, Chamegá from the CD Jogos de Armar. By the end of the 30-minute set, the crowd asked for more "Tom Zé! Tom Zé", proceeding to openly boo the MC that announced the Queens of the Stone Age as the next act on the World Stage.
