Second chance for glorious radio stars

Those who have a love of MPB have one more good reason to celebrate: EMI is releasing 25 CDs on the Série Bis - Cantores do Rádio series. The series is comprised of two-disc compilations with the best recordings made by legendary artists like Dyrcinha Batista, Isaura Garcia, Ivon Curi, Augusto Calheiros, Francisco Alves, Orlando Silva, Carlos Galhardo, Marlene, Aracy de Almeida, Silvio Caldas and others, between the 1930s and early '60s. Most of the material had never been released on CD, and the only drawback is the poor information on the booklets.
