Picture the queen of samba singing for the queen of England. It should happen on November 9th, when Elza Soares – after winning the Millenium Singer award by the BBC and performing at the Royal Albert Hall - returns to Britain to play at the Grosvenor House Hotel, in a ball for the Royal Family. The goal is to raise funds for Third World countries, and Elza is excited about the possible meeting with Queen Elizabeth: "I wish Brazil would be proud of it. Not just proud of Pelé. I thank God for this moment, because it’s not easy to get where I’m at." On November 10th, she will play for a regular audience at the Shepherds Bush Empire. By December, Elza will start recording her new album.
