With the triple release (this month in Brazil, United States in March and Europe in May), the CD Tom Jobim e Villa-Lobos continues the trilogy of classic-popular meetings promoted by Wagner Tiso. After Debussy e Fauré Encontram Milton e Tiso (1999), Tom e Villa brings an Oscar Niemeyer drawing on the cover, as well as a booklet with texts written by Nana Caymmi, Gal Costa, Egberto Gismonti and others. Wagner Tiso plays along with the Cello Ensemble cello quartet, and the album is coming out on the label Popcorn. Among the tracks, Caicó (Bachiana nº 4) - which Tiso had adapted for Milton Nascimento’s album Sentinela (1980) -, O Trenzinho Caipira, Chora Coração and Luíza.
